Every day is a day to encounter the living Christ.
Small Groups are really small Christian communities where people like you and I can merge and meet God.
We are like the disciples on the Road to Emmaus. While we are walking along and talking about life, Jesus joins us on our faith journey. He teaches us about himself from the Scriptures. He reveals himself present among us in the breaking of the bread.
Every day is a day to encounter the living Christ in Word and Sacrament. Small Groups are small Christian communities, within the Parish community, where we can merge to meet God. Here, the road less traveled becomes our own Road to Emmaus.
"And it happened that, while he was with them at table, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he vanished from their sight. Then they said to each other, 'WERE NOT OUR HEARTS BURNING WITHIN US WHILE HE SPOKE TO US ON THE WAY AND OPENED THE SCRIPTURES TO US?' ...Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way and how Jesus was made known to them in the breaking of the bread."
